This one, I believe, deserves to be here instead of only hidden away in a comment to a comment on a locked-down journal entry.

"Happiness without survival is momentary; survival without momentary happiness is still a chance for lasting happiness later."

Hope is best applied in situations where there is a chance for tomorrow still to be waiting for you around the corner. When you can see everything ahead of you ending, there is little to hope for in terms of change. Just because corners can sometimes bring bad things does not mean that they cannot bring good things as well. Making sure there are corners left to go around is usually so much more important than clinging to a moment of goodness that takes the corners all away from you.

Equinox. A moment of alignment defined by the original measure of its passing. Balanced, hanging in space millions of kilometres apart. Bodies dancing seemingly eternally. Giants both, but still lost amidst a sea stretching out beyond all imagining.

I hope that you all did enjoy yours.

mood: determined

Humanity needs to stop being afraid of everything they have no power to prevent. Humanity needs to stop giving power to people by being afraid of them.

I am not afraid.

At least I seem to no longer be suffering from instability and other unwanted effects when spending long periods of time fronting. Time to wake [info]tarathene up though now, so that she can use her day for something more than letting us have time too. Or perhaps, I should let her rest. She seems to need it, and looks so very worn out.

Why do I feel so often as of late to be a mother of three or four instead of a mother of one?
